Volumetric Feeder Used In Water Treatment Works

Volumetric metering screw feeders can be used in water treatment works.

Their function is to meter the discharge of medium from the silo to a wetting cone. It is usually complete with hopper and hopper dehumidifier. The construction material usually is 316L stainless steel. The turndown ratio is 20:1. The motor is VFD driven. The screw feeder shall operate under control of an adjustable timer to provide a means of varying the batch concentration. A low level switch for hopper (with DI output signal) is necessary.

The medium usually includes polymer powder, sodium silicofluoride powder and powdered activated carbon. The feeding capacity usually is 7.5-160L/h for polymer powder and soldium silicofluoride and 100-2000L/h for powdered activated carbon.
